Creative Stage Lighting Announces Dura-Flex Cable Improvements

North Creek, NY – April 11, 2013 – Creative Stage Lighting has announced improvements in their Dura-Flex product line.

Dura-Flex Cat-5E cable is now the optimal choice for heavy-duty and industrial applications. Dura-Flex Cat-5e now has an improved outer jacket that’s tougher, but easier to handle. Dura-Flex Cat-5E is chemical resistant, CMX rated for outdoor use and, like all Dura-Flex cables, REACH and RoHS compliant. Dura-Flex Cat-5E is extensively tested to insure compliance to TIA network standards.

Creative Stage Lighting has also introduced Dura-Flex 3-pair communication cable designed for use with Kinesys Motion Control products and other applications that use 3 twisted pair cabling.

Dura-Flex Multi-Cable Now UL Rated at 1000 Volts

North Creek, NY – June 29, 2011 – Creative Stage Lighting has announced that Dura-Flex entertainment industry multi-cable is now UL rated for 1000v.

With 1000v UL rating Dura-Flex multi-cable now provides additional protection against voltage spikes, adding more safety protections to the Dura-Flex line.

Multicable and the Environment

Creative Stage Lighting President George B. Studnicky III shares some thoughts regarding CSL’s environmental stance and Dura-Flex cable.

Health, safety, and the protection of the environment have always been critically important to us here at Creative Stage Lighting. It is our attachment to these principles even after 33 years that has provided us the roadmap to all we do.

When we initially designed the Dura-Flex line of multicables back in 1998 we knew we wanted to produce a cable that was flexible, durable, and had the most safety approvals of any cable in the entertainment industry. We identified multiple materials that not only exceeded the UL requirement but had very robust UL, oil, and alkaline-resistance properties.

We quickly realized we did not want to use talc as the slipping agent and went with paper-tape instead. This keeps technicians who handle Dura-Flex multicable from being exposed to talc. This is key as we believe talc can be an irritant to the eyes, sinus, and respiratory systems for some individuals.

We are proud to be one of the first, if not the first, manufacturer in our industry to produce an RoHS compliant product back in the fall of 2004. Today, Dura-Flex is also REACH compliant.

Creative Stage Lighting announces Dura-Flex meets REACH environmental and safety standards.

REACH, the European environmental safety standard, restricts harmful and hazardous materials including polychlorinatedterphenyls, polybromobiphenyls, Polybrominatedbiphenyls, and more.

“REACH compliance is another feature that allows Dura-Flex to continue leading the market,” said Creative Stage Lighting President George B. Studnicky III.

Creative Stage Lighting also notes Dura-Flex’s high performance standards, including results in crush tests. Dura-Flex cables can resist up to 1000/2000 lbFs.
